Training 

At Better By Design, we offer training on all of the Blackberry models. We know that with all that a Blackberry has to offer, it can be kind of overwhelming to learn it all, and then there is always that fear that you are not utilizing it to its full potential.

 

Some of our training topics are email use, navigation, application use, shortcut keys, troubleshooting, and general tips.

  

Blackberry Internet Service Setup 

The cell phone companies and RIM offer the Blackberry Internet Service to handle the email setup for up to 10 email accounts. We will setup that service for users, or come onsite and show them how to do it.

 

Switching Blackberries 

Some people might be thinking about upgrading to a newer Blackberry, but are concerned about losing their information. We can move all personal data like messages, address book, pictures, and in some cases applications from one Blackberry to another.

 

Themes 

The themes that come on the Blackberry, by default, can get boring pretty quickly. At Better By Design we can custom create a theme for users. Some examples are a poker theme, a Spiderman theme, your only limit is your imagination.

 

Application Installs 

Out of the box, the Blackberry comes with quite a few good programs like a calendar, a browser, notepad, etc. Most users don’t know that there are plenty of other free or pay software that can make their life much easier or just add some enjoyment. Some examples are weather programs, games, instant message programs, news tickers, media players, and many more.

 

Backup 

At Better By Design we can backup a user's Blackberry. Most users are unaware of this feature. When you backup a Blackberry, it backs up the messages, address book, calendar items, and applications. This allows a user to restore that information in the case of a malfunctioning Blackberry, or accidental deletion of data.

 

Blackberry Enterprise Server Setup 

Many businesses would love to use the Blackberry for their email solution, but they want a way to centralize the administration of the devices. RIM sells the Blackberry Enterprise Server software. BES connects to messaging and collaboration software (Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, Novell Groupwise) on enterprise networks to synchronize email and PIM information between desktop and mobile software. We will install that software and instruct businesses in its use.

 

Repair 

Although the instances are rare, sometimes a user’s Blackberry will need repair. Better By Design is often able to repair the Blackberry and save people money.  Items that can often be replaced include screens, scroll wheels, and other internal components.  Contact us if you have damaged your Blackberry to evaluate your options.
